CBD HEMP OIL SAFETY AND TESTING
When it comes to your health, you should never be uncertain about what you’re consuming. When we started HempMeds® in 2012, there were no standardized testing procedures for cannabinoid products, so we created them.
All our products go through our rigorous Triple Lab Testing™ process. Each product is tested 3 times during production for safety and quality standards by independent laboratories. We’re so thorough, our testing partner Pro Verde Laboratories was kind enough to record this video about our products.
QUALITY AND SAFETY: KIND OF A NO-BRAINER
We go above and beyond industry standards to ensure the safest, best quality products for our customers. Safety is our top priority, and that’s why use CO2 extraction and extensive testing throughout the entire process. You should never be uncertain about what you’re putting into your body, and it pays to do your homework. When we started HempMeds® in 2012, standardized testing procedures for cannabinoid products didn’t exist—so we went out and created them.
OUR TRIPLE LAB TESTED™ PROCESS
Our hemp is first tested by our cultivators in Europe periodically throughout the growing season and again after harvest and extraction. This allows our growers to maintain optimal cannabinoid content for our hemp oil products and check for any residual contaminants. Despite cultivating our hemp free of herbicides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers, we carefully inspect our oil after harvest for anything that can negatively impact the quality of our products.
Second, the oil is tested when it arrives in the US after being shipped from Europe. Once our hemp oil is imported into the U.S., it is tested once again by ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited testing labs to check for consistent ratios of CBD and to verify the safety of our oil after its journey across the Atlantic. These labs test our hemp oil for the concentration of cannabinoids, including CBD, CBDa, CBG, THC, and over a half dozen others, as well as testing for mold, mildew, fungus, yeast, E.coli, Salmonella, Mycotoxins, heavy metals, and residual solvents to protect the end user from any contamination.
Finally, after our hemp oil is sent to our California-based formulators, who are certified as using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for foods, ensuring consistently produced and quality controlled final products. Here our hemp oil is crafted into our wide range of CBD hemp oil products – after which we batch test our finished products to once again verify that they will be safe and consistent for all our customers. Samples from each batch of the final products are tested again for cannabinoid content and a final safety check.
